Why 'Lyceum'?

In simple terms, Lyceum is defined as a hall for public lectures or discussions - which is exactly what we built this Slack community for.

It's history originates as a Latin rendering of the Ancient Greek Λύκειον (Lykeion), the name of a gymnasium in Classical Athens dedicated to Apollo Lyceus, and the original lyceum is remembered as the location of the school of Aristotle.
