Join our dynamic, fast-growing team and help us empower our customers to build cloud skills.AWS Training and Certification Team is looking for curriculum developers, technical trainers, technical writers, or solutions architects who want be a part of building exciting and new courses on AWS as a Technical Curriculum Developer.


The qualified candidate will have experience designing and developing digital (self-directed) content for technical audiences and preferably, the AWS platform. The candidate needs excellent writing skills, technical knowledge of IT domains and the ability to provide analysis of learning materials from a technical perspective. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience analyzing, designing and developing digital (self-directed) curriculum for Technical audiences. Above all, you will have a passion for learning and contributing to team and customer success.

  • Dive deep into AWS technologies, such as Developing, DevOps, Networking, High Performance Computing, Blockchain, Cloud Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, Migration Strategies or other solutions areas to understand the services and develop effective training for our customers.
  • Develop a cohesive real-world scenario-based training curriculum to reinforce the learning objectives for AWS courseware by offering engaging learning for students.
  • Work with audience representatives to understand training needs and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts across AWS (including Developers, Support Engineers, Professional Services, and Solutions Architects) to build technically accurate training that meets the learning objectives.
  • Use our automated lab and courseware publishing process built on AWS services.
  • Build relationships with AWS service teams to understand roadmaps and plan for content updates or new training offerings.
  • Respond to changes in products/features by revising content at the pace of innovation.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering meetings with curriculum stakeholders to define the appropriate learning objectives, modalities and expectations.
  • Collaborate with multiple functional groups to develop training content that educates customers on the full portfolio of AWS services and features.


Some travel required, primarily for event support (10-25%).

This role can be performed anywhere in the US.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $110,700-160,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years experience designing and developing instructional materials for technical content.
· 3+ yrs. domain expertise in one or more of the following: Security, IoT, Big Data, DevOps, Systems Administration, software development, cloud technology
· Technical degree (e.g., Computer Science) or 3+ years of relevant work experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure services highly desired.
  • 3+ year of experiences with common content development tools, i.e., Articulate Storyline / Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience in programming, systems architecture or systems administration.
  • Professional experience architecting systems built with Amazon Web Services.
  • Current AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Developer).
  • A demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
  • A demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Domain knowledge in one or more of the following: DevOps, Systems Administration, Cloud Infrastructure.
