The Role

Reporting to the VP of Learning and Development, this role manages the Moderna University team’s design processes, systems, projects, tools and innovation pipeline. This leader builds, creates, and manages the capabilities to innovate on our learner experience across the entire Moderna University portfolio. This includes content management, AR/VR, micro/nano-learning, LxP set up, design templates, vendor management, MOOC’s, digital badging, desktop publishing, style guide, content curation, user-generated content, and more.

Here’s What You’ll Do

  • Build and manage the Moderna University design processes, tools, technologies, and creative services
  • Manage instructional design vendors and external outsource options
  • Define, build, and articulate the Moderna University learner experience and integrate into core flagship programs
  • Bring external best practices into Moderna learning environment
  • Work with external design partners to provide guidance on the Moderna learning experience and to perform quality control.
  • Manage innovation pipeline for Moderna University including nano-learning, design standards, digital badging, mobile learning, digital experience and more
  • Collaborate with program leaders to integrate in technology, design standards, and learner experience innovation
  • Produce thought leadership on the Moderna University learner experience
  • Represent Moderna externally in forums and conferences

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 10 years developing training programs in a corporate setting with a demonstrated capacity to design training and performance improvement programs
  • Experience with content management
  • Experience with video production, user-generated content and editing
  • Experience with multi-media design
  • Experience with design software such as Articulate 360, InDesign, Adobe Premiere Rush and others

  • Master’s degree in instructional design, education, educational technology, curriculum and instruction, or a closely related field preferred
  • Strong and extensive experience with instructional design tools, technologies, and methods
  • Desktop publishing skills
  • Content management experience
  • Experience and skill in strategic vendor management
  • Creative skills and branding and design
